Two talented Leamington lads in the Brakes Under Eight’s team have been signed by league clubs to play for their Academy Under Nine’s next season.
Ted Rowe has been with Aston Villa for a while and has played other premier league juniors including Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea. He has impressed the coaching staff, scoring a hat trick recently in a 10-1 win against Chelsea.
The other star is keeper Josh Nesbitt who has completed forms for Coventry City. His shot stopping skills have seen him turn out several times for the Sky Blues and it is predicted he has a bright future.
It is no coincidence that both boys play for the Radford Semele C of E Primary School, which has done so much to encourage them and instill confidence in their ability.
The Brakes youth system has shown that it can nurture youngsters with talent and develop their skills so that they come to the notice of the professional clubs.
Jason Hemming, Brakes Under Eight’s coach, says: “We are delighted with their progress and hope they go on to even better things. It shows what can be achieved by good coaching at a local level. All we ask is that they never forget where they started. Ted and Josh will always be remembered by us and will always get a warm welcome whenever they can get to the club.”
